The Splendid Mrs Sidhwa

Earlier today Mrs Sidhwa came to Room 30 to show us some of her special things.  Some of these were from when she was little and some were from when she was older.

First she showed us on the world map where she was from and where she has travelled to.  She is from Iran and has been to India and America and now she is here!

Then she showed us a picture with the different colours of the sand in her country.  It was really cool because all the colours were staying in the same order.  We think it was glass keeping it in place.

We saw her doll from when she was one year old.  She never lets anyone touch it or play with it because it is very special.  It was dressed in a traditional Iranian dress, which Mrs Sidhwa said was her favourite.

She showed us her alarm clock from when she was little.  It's not what you think an alarm clock looks like!

She told us she was nutty because she likes all different kinds of nuts.  We even saw the nutcracker that she used in Iran.

We also heard about her children and their special things.

Mrs Sidhwa is a fantastic person and she makes us laugh.  We are very lucky to have her as our neighbour!
